Managing members

Roles, removal, and role changes for workspace members.

Open Settings → Members. Every workspace member is listed with their name, email, and role.

Roles

  • Admin: Full access. Can invite, remove, change roles, delete the workspace.
  • Member: Read/write access to every collection, but cannot modify membership or workspace settings.

Every workspace has at least one admin. The workspace creator starts as an admin.

Change a role

Hover a member → Role dropdown → pick Admin or Member.

An admin cannot demote themselves if they're the only admin. Promote someone else first.

Remove a member

Hover a member → Remove. They lose access immediately.

What happens to their notes

  • Notes they created stay in the workspace, attributed to them by name.
  • Person property values pointing at them stay on notes but render greyed out. Edit to replace.
  • Active public share links they created stay live. See Revoking access.
