Note properties
Set and read property values on a note.

Every note in a collection inherits that collection's properties. These are typed fields like Status, Due date, Owner, URL.
Setting a value
- Open the note.
- Open the Properties panel (right sidebar), or click the inline property chip under the title.
- Pick or type a value. Changes save automatically.
From a view
Most views let you set property values inline without opening the note:
- Table: Click a cell.
- Board: Drag a card to move it between columns of the grouping property.
- Calendar: Drag a card to change its date.
- List / Gallery: Click the property chip on a card.
Clearing a value
Click the value, then click the × next to it (or press Backspace on select/multi-select).
