Finding a collection
Search the home page to jump to a collection by name.
Last updated
The home page lists every collection in the workspace. When that list gets long, the search field narrows it down.
Search
- Open the home page.
- Click the search icon next to the view toggle and New Collection button. The search field slides in below. Or just press /.
- Type any part of the collection's name or description. The grid filters in place as you type.
Matching is case-insensitive and checks both the collection name and description. The count to the right of the search field (for example, 3 of 12) shows how many collections match.
Close the search
- Click the search icon again to hide the field, or
- Press Esc while the field is focused. One press clears the query; a second press hides the field.
- Click the × inside the search field to clear the query without hiding it.
Hiding the search restores the full collections grid, including drag-to-reorder.
Notes
- Search only looks at collections. To search the text inside notes, use the global search — press ⌘+K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux).
- Reordering collections is disabled while a search is active, since the displayed list is a filtered subset. Clear the search to drag collections again.
