Finding a collection

Search the home page to jump to a collection by name.

Last updated

The home page lists every collection in the workspace. When that list gets long, the search field narrows it down.

  1. Open the home page.
  2. Click the search icon next to the view toggle and New Collection button. The search field slides in below. Or just press /.
  3. Type any part of the collection's name or description. The grid filters in place as you type.

Matching is case-insensitive and checks both the collection name and description. The count to the right of the search field (for example, 3 of 12) shows how many collections match.

  • Click the search icon again to hide the field, or
  • Press Esc while the field is focused. One press clears the query; a second press hides the field.
  • Click the × inside the search field to clear the query without hiding it.

Hiding the search restores the full collections grid, including drag-to-reorder.

Notes

  • Search only looks at collections. To search the text inside notes, use the global search — press +K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux).
  • Reordering collections is disabled while a search is active, since the displayed list is a filtered subset. Clear the search to drag collections again.
