Searching notes
Find notes across the workspace with the search command.

Plainwork indexes the title and body of every note in every collection you have access to.
Open search
- Click the search pill in the top nav, or
- Press ⌘+K (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux).
Type to search
- Start typing; results appear after two characters.
- Each result shows the note title, a highlighted snippet, and the collection it lives in.
- Press ↑ / ↓ to move through results.
- Press Enter to open the selected result.
- Press Esc to close.
What's searched
- Every note title in your workspace.
- Every note body, including headings, paragraphs, lists, and code blocks.
- Property values are not part of the free-text search — filter in a view instead.
Ranking
Results are ranked by a relevance score that considers term frequency, title vs. body, and recency. Exact title matches tend to sit at the top.
Scope
Search is scoped to the currently-active workspace. Switch workspaces from the org switcher if you need to search another one.
