Plainwork is a markdown-native knowledge tool for teams. You organise your work as notes grouped into collections, then look at the same notes through different views: list, board, gallery, table, calendar, or feed.
The short version
- A collection is a group of related notes: a project, a topic, a shared workspace.
- A note is a page you write in a rich markdown editor.
- A view is a way of displaying the notes in a collection. Switching from list to board doesn't change the notes, just the shape.
- Properties are typed fields on notes (status, date, owner, URL...) that you can filter, sort, and group by.
Who uses it
Teams who want the feel of plain markdown with the structure of a database. Designers, engineers, researchers...anyone who writes and needs more than a flat list of files.
